The LRC (Long Range Certificate, in German “Allgemeines Funkbetriebszeugnis”) entitles you to operate MF, HF and satellite radio equipment (Inmarsat) on recreational vessels, in addition to VHF. The LRC exam builds on the SRC: the additional theory test has 14 questions from a catalogue of 76, and you pass with at least 10 correct answers.
The exam is held in German only. The questions cover radio wave propagation, MF/HF frequencies, DSC on MF and HF, and the Inmarsat system.
